My Biography
With several years of ministry and eight recorded projects, Wallace Rahming is on a mission to proclaim the Good News in word and song.. Wallace has created a vast vault of recordings that explore various music styles and genres, biblical topics and personal life experiences.
Wallace is the youngest of three sons born to George and Martha Rahming who raised him on Florida's Treasure Coast. Growing up in a household filled with music, Wallace began his study of the art form at the age of 8, learning so well that by the age of 14, he was arranging top 40 tunes for his high school marching band.
Wallace completed his musical studies at Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he studied voice under the late great Dr. Aldridge Atkins. He also continued his study of the trumpet and piano in several of the school's ensembles.
Intrigued with studio recording, Wallace began experimenting with four-track recording in the late 80s. His early efforts earned him a spot on Z-93 FM's New Beat Artist program. Wallace recorded and self-produced his first release "Come By Here" in the summer of 1990. The "lo-fi", cassette only album consisted of 10 original songs penned by Rahming. Although the title cut was a gospel lyric based song, it would be Wallace's first and last non-Christian project. The following year [1991], Wallace released a cassette EP entitled "In Your Loving Care". Consisting of three songs, "In Your Loving Care" established Rahming as a familiar Florida Treasure Coast Contemporary Christian artist. In the same year, his first full-length project "Jesus Saved" is released.
Wallace continues to release new music. He also teaches musical theatre, voice and piano in sunny south Florida. He is an ordained pastor and music minister. At request, Wallace presents his music in local and regional area churches. He has made numerous appearances on WTCE Channel 21 (Trinity Broadcasting Network affiliate station) and his music is currently in rotation on regional and online radio stations.
